Wake up in the Mayan world |

Kayaking between the coral reefs over the old Mayan trade routes.Snorkeling in the coral reefs and lagoons. Walk in the ruins and admire the temples of Chichen Itza end other sites founded by the Mayans, civilization known as "The Greeks of America" due to the notable architecture and mathematical and astronomical knowledge. Two night camping in the pristine islands and sleep in the night in a camp located in the Sian Ka'an natural reserve, whose 1.8 million acres make it the second large in Mexico . Meet the incredible white sands of the Mexican Caribbean beyond the Cancun . Sleep in a village founded in the 16th century by the Spanish conquerors which colonized Yucatan.

| Day 1: | Arrival to the Cancun Airport. Transfer to the hotel "Ojo de Agua" in Puerto Morelos (45 min. journey). Dinner not included. |
| Day 2: | Breakfast in the hotel "Ojo de Agua". Transfer to the archeological site Muyil in the Sian Ka'an natural reserve. Walk in the jungle of Muyil; box lunch in Muyil. Kayaking in the channels used by the Mayans as a trade routes between the coast and the cities in the jungle. During the journey, will visit two lagoons, Chunyaxche and Boca Palia, observing tropical birds, fish, orchids and bromeliads hanging of the trees. Almost 20 miles in kayak is easy, in some parts of the channel the water flow is quite strong thus requiring some kayak controlling abilities. Arrival to the Boca Palia/Pez Maya and the assembly of the camp. Informal dinner: Hot dogs, hamburgers and more cooked on fire. |
| Day 3: | Breakfast in the camp. Kayaking from Boca Palia to the San Juan ranch - over 20 miles in channels and lagoons full of wildlife. Box lunch in the kayaks. Spend the night in the San Juan ranch (nice house of six rooms, each room has private bathroom, hot and cold water). Dinner at the grill of the ranch. |
| Day 4: | Breakfast in the ranch. Optional snorkeling in front of the ranch. Transfer to Punta Allen. Dinner at Punta Allen. Transfer in the boat to Culebra Cay. One boat transfer passengers and the other transfer kayaks. Bird-watching and box lunch in the island; later arrival to the Tres Marias Island in order to assemble the camp and have a lunch. Approximately 20 kms must be traveled in kayak over the ocean. Alternative route is available. |

| Day 1: | Participants will arrive at the international airport of Cancun. They will be greeted by a RMBA representative. Guests and any bike baggage will be transferred to Playa del Carmen, the resort area one hour of the airport. Rooms are reserved with the dinner at the Hostal. Welcome, orientation to the area's attractions, climate, and customs, and briefing on the tour - routes/roads, rules, support facilities, food, lodging & entertainment/diversions. |
| Day 2: | Island of Cozumel (40 miles / 64 km). Early breakfast. Enjoy riding to take ferry in Playa del Carmen to Island of Cozumel. Once in Isla Mujeres bike 20 miles in the island to eventually get to enjoy a great boat trip to snorkel in part of the reef. After snorkeling enjoy a great lunch on site. After lunch bike back to the ferry to eventually take ferry back to Playa del Carmen, then bike back to your hotel where a delicious dinner will be waiting for you. |
| Day 3: | Playa del Carmen - Tulum (44 miles / 71 km). Early breakfast in your own hotel. Ride to Tulum, and rest in its beautiful sand beaches. Bike from Tulum to Xel Ha known as a Natural aquarium located 15 miles from the hotels in Tulum. In the park the equipment for snorkeling will be available for rent. Enjoy lunch on your owninside the reserve in one of the tree restaurants. Ride back to your hotel (Cabañas de Don Armando) in Tulum area. Dinner in the restaurant Don Armando. |
| Day 4: | Tulum - Coba - Pac- Chen (41 miles / 65.6km). Early breakfast in the hotel. Bike ride to the arechological site of Tulum - the only Mayan city on the coast. Continue ride to Coba . On the way, stop to snorkel in the amazing crystal waters of the Gran Cenote , which is located along today's route. Lunch in Club Med hotel or any of the small restaurants of Coba town on your own, the choice of restaurants will be listed on the day's ride sheet. In the afternoon, visit famous Coba archaeological site. Dinner in Club Med. Rest Stop in Gran Cenote and Lol Beh Shopping store. |
| Day 5: | Pac-Chen - Punta Laguna - Valladolid. (36.6 miles/ 58 km). Optional bird watching hike in Coba . Early breakfast. Enjoy the Mayan village Pac-Chen, where you could rappel in the Jaguar Cenote. Bike ride to Punta Laguna observing in the way the spider-monkey in their natural habitat. Back to the Coba intersection in order to be transfered to the this colonial city of Valladolid. Dinner. |
| Day 6: | Valladolid – Chichen Itza (28.8 miles / 46 kms). Early breakfast. Bike ride from the colonial city of Valladolid to the most important archeological site of the maya, Chichen Itza , crossing unique maya villages and impressive churches, in the afternoon visit Chichen itza archeological site. Check in at the Pïste camp. Optional light and sound show in Chichen Itza. |
| Day 7: | Xcaret – Puerto Morelos. Breakfast in the camp restaurant. Pack your bike in your air travel box. Then take your swimming suit and a change of clothes and be transported to enjoy all day at the National Park Puero Morelos which has a botanical garden and an impressive coral reef. Enjoy snorkeling and swimming for some time at the calm waters of Puero Morelos. visit the Botanical garden. The closing ceremony will take place during the dinner at 8pm in the hotel's restaurant where you will recieve your RMBAHC diploma. |

The tour does NOT include:
- Airfare, lunches days 4, 6 and 7, telephone calls, laundry, or gratuities for your guides
- Early Arrivals and extensions: In the registration application, participants interested in arriving or staying over additional nights may request the special RMBA tour rates, and these will be reserved based on availability. January is high season in the Mexican Caribbean and the hotels of the tour are in demand, thus travelers are urged to reserve early, whether for the tour or for optional extra nights
NOTES FOR FOREIGN VISITORS:
- Bottled water is used in the hotels and restaurants that we will be using. Do not drink the water from the hotel spigots or showerheads
- Do not eat items from local street vendors unless we tell you it is sanitary
- Bring a washcloth. Some hotels do not provide them
- Bring a biodegradable combination sunblock and insect repellent. A recommended brand is Mayatan
- A passport, driver's license, or a birth certificate is all that is needed to enter Mexico
- A fat tire bike is recommended (There are some dirt roads in the route)
- Some rental bicycles are available
- Rear flashing lights are mandatory
- Helmets are mandatory
- Children under 12 will not be allowed on the ride
For all the tours we recommend bringing comfortable clothes and shoes, insect repellent, hat, swimsuit, long sleeve cotton shirt, long cotton pants, impermeable jacket, hygienic personal stuff and sun blocker.
